Do you know that I am crazy about traditional Russian fairy tales?
Well, I am! Honestly.
Worth mentioning that traditional folk Russian tales does not have any unicorns or fairies in it! Moreover, they are so-so scary, creepy and spooky. I can not even read them to my kids because they would never fell asleep afterwards.
I am working on a series of folk tales paintings based on Russian tales characters. Here is a short video work in progress of my "Kikimora" painting. It is basically a cheeky naughty house spirit in a lady's impersonation.
