The Perfect Whites! [artist review on highlight products]

Hi, beautiful people!

Around a year or so I was looking for the perfect white ink/paint/marker whatsoever for highlights. In my mind it supposed yo be super opaque, really thick, but with a nice flow and it should work with watercolours and acrylics at the same time. Crazy fantasy?

Not at all! I finally managed to find The Perfect White for all my projects so now I am happy to share. Whether you are just curious reader, artist fellow or a crafty person - hope you will find something interesting.

Here comes my White Army:

As you can see I was looking very hard=)

And here you can see the contest results.

For me the winner is Dr. Ph. Martins's Bleed Proof White.

Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White.

Why it is the best?

  • It has nice semi-liquid texture.

  • It has a really bright white colour.

  • Full opacity.

  • Works perfect with watercolours and acrylics.

  • Comes in a quite big size (compare to others).

The worst was Uni Paint Marker.

And here is why:

  • Awful, terrible smell of chemicals.

  • Each time before white colour appears something yellowish drops first. Unfortunately I ruined several etudes because of that.

  • It works not so good with watercolours.

  • Bleeds all over and you can't predict when and WHY=)

That is it! Thank you for reading guys!
